Equipped to Care

Equipped to Care

Equipped to Care is an interactive training program designed to help individuals develop the skills and confidence to provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to others. Through guided instruction, personal reflection, and hands-on practice, participants build a foundation in compassionate listening, meaningful connection, and caring for others, whether in person, by phone, or through video.

Facilitated by Rev. Alisa Hovagimian Unell, Program Manager at Crossroads of Caring and a Board Certified Chaplain. Alisa serves in hospital and outpatient neuro-palliative care settings in Rochester and brings her experience in spiritual care and education to The Art of Presence. Through this series, she will invite participants to reflect on what it means to listen deeply and accompany others with compassion.
