The Certified Educator program at Crossroads of Caring provides advanced training in behavioral sciences, group theory, spiritual belief systems, and educational theory, leading to professional ACPE Educator Certification and the authorization to conduct CPE units in accredited ACPE programs.

Staff at our ongoing Clinical Placement Sites have the opportunity to participate in six live online Zoom presentations on spiritual care topics each year. Invitations are sent through our sites. Registration is required to attend. The recorded presentations are available to everyone on our website.

Reconnect with your own spiritual journey through storytelling, reflection, poetry, music, and writing in this three-session online wellness program for professionals, volunteers and family caregivers.

The Art of Presence is a three-session virtual training that helps participants walk alongside others with empathy and care. Through reflection and practical listening exercises, participants explore spiritual presence, how to support others through grief and crisis, and care for themselves as caregivers.

Equipped to Care is a certificate program for pastoral visitors, peer advocates, family caregivers, and anyone seeking to offer compassionate spiritual and emotional support. Through interactive learning, reflection, and hands-on practice, participants strengthen their listening and caregiving skills while building a foundation for providing meaningful spiritual care in their communities and beyond.

This program is for groups who wish to learn basic spiritual care skills for use in faith communities, community placements, or caregiving. We can tailor the program to best suit your community’s needs. We also provide presentations on topics such as reflective listening, discovering and assessing spirituality, grief and loss, learning empathy, and nurturing spiritual wellbeing.

Six live online Zoom conversations each year bring participants together to explore a selected article focused on research and evidence-informed spiritual care practices. Journal Club meets every other month on the third Thursday and offers a collaborative space to share insights, ask questions, and grow together as practitioners. We’ll also continue the conversation in our Journal Club Facebook group between sessions. Registration is required to attend.
